OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::singleStep

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.10.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Description: The total number of single step interrupts.

What is singleStep?

This counter tallies the total number of single-step debug interrupts the CPU has raised. Single-step interrupts are normally only generated intentionally by a debugger, so any count here on a production device suggests either leftover debug instrumentation or an unexpected fault condition. An admin noticing singleStep incrementing on a device that should be running production firmware would flag it as anomalous behavior worth escalating.
