What is rptrNICCarrierLost?

This counter tracks how many times the Ethernet controller lost carrier sense in the middle of transmitting a frame out the repeater's NIC. Repeated carrier loss points to a flaky physical connection, such as a loose connector or an intermittently failing transceiver, on the link the IN3000 uses to reach the rest of the network. An admin noticing this counter rising alongside sporadic loss of contact with the device would inspect the physical cable and connector before assuming a software fault.
