This read-write integer sets how long, in the firmware's IP reassembly time units, the device will wait to receive all fragments of a fragmented IP packet before giving up and discarding the partial data. An admin might lower this value to free up buffer resources faster on a device handling many fragmented packets, or raise it if fragments are legitimately arriving with longer delays across a slow or congested link. If IP fragment reassembly failures seem to correlate with periods of network congestion, an admin would consider raising reasmTimeout to accommodate the added latency.
