This counter tallies error-free Ethernet frames sized between 128 and 255 bytes (counting FCS octets, excluding framing bits) received on this one port, the per-port breakdown of the group-wide 128-255-byte size bin. An admin can use it to see whether one particular port's traffic profile, such as port 5, differs from the rest of its group, for example a port carrying mostly small keep-alive frames. Watching this bin rise steadily on that port while its sibling ports stay flat would tell an admin the device attached there has a distinctive traffic pattern worth investigating.
