Description: The number of IP packets that could not be transmitted due to ARP failure. The address could not be resolved.
What is outAddrNotResolved?
This counter tallies IP packets that could not be transmitted because the destination's MAC address could not be resolved via ARP. A rising value means the device is trying to reach hosts that are not responding to ARP requests, which could indicate those hosts are offline or unreachable due to a network fault. An admin seeing outAddrNotResolved climb for traffic destined to a specific subnet would check whether hosts on that subnet have gone down or been disconnected.
