muxCount

Module: COMPEX-IN3000

OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::muxCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.10.18.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This is the thread's mutual exclusion Count.

What is muxCount?

This read-only integer reports the mutual exclusion (mutex) lock count currently held by a specific internal firmware thread. An admin investigating a suspected deadlock or contention issue in the firmware would look for a thread whose muxCount stays elevated far longer than expected, indicating it is holding locks other threads are waiting on. Seeing one thread's muxCount stuck at a nonzero value while overall device responsiveness degrades would point an admin at that thread as the likely source of contention.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.10.18.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> COMPEX-IN3000::muxCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.10.18.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> COMPEX-IN3000::muxCount.1
