Module: COMPEX-IN3000
OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::invalidOpcode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.10.15
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-only
Description: Th total number of invalid op code interrupts.
What is invalidOpcode?
This counter tallies the total number of invalid opcode interrupts the CPU has raised, meaning the processor attempted to execute an instruction it did not recognize. A nonzero value strongly suggests corrupted firmware code in memory, possibly from a failing flash chip or a bad firmware image. An admin seeing invalidOpcode increment would consider re-flashing the firmware or running flashTest to check the integrity of non-volatile storage.
