What is inHdrBadOption?

This counter tallies IP packets received with one or more invalid IP options in the header, a specific subset of the broader ipHdrErrors count. A rising value points to nonstandard or malformed IP options being sent to the device, which could originate from unusual network equipment or from crafted packets. An admin seeing inHdrBadOption increment would want to identify the source IP generating these packets to determine whether it is a misconfigured device or something more suspicious.
