What is inHdrBadCheckSum?
This counter tallies IP packets received with an invalid header checksum, a specific subset of the broader ipHdrErrors count. A climbing value indicates packets are being corrupted somewhere on the path to the device, whether by a failing NIC, a bad cable, or an intermediate device miscalculating checksums. An admin seeing inHdrBadCheckSum rise would check the physical layer between the source and the IN3000 before suspecting the sending application.
