It reflects how much management or protocol traffic (such as SNMP polls or HMI messages) the device itself is absorbing on that microhub. An admin who sees this counter growing far faster than expected on group 1 might suspect a monitoring station is polling the IN3000 too aggressively through that microhub's ports.
