Module: COMPEX-IN3000
OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::gsmCollisions
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.6.3.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-only
Description: The total number of collisions detected by all ports in the group.
What is gsmCollisions?
This counter tallies the total collisions detected across all ports in a hardware group, aggregating the per-port collision activity for that microhub. An admin watches this as a group-level indicator of how contested the shared Ethernet medium is on that segment. A steep rise in gsmCollisions on group 1 relative to the other groups would tell an admin to focus capacity or wiring investigation on that specific microhub.
