What is dataBufferTooSmall?

This counter tallies how many times an ICMP packet was received but discarded because the allocated data buffer was too small to hold it. A nonzero value points to an ICMP message larger than the firmware's buffer sizing assumptions, potentially an oversized or crafted packet. An admin who sees dataBufferTooSmall increment unexpectedly would consider it worth checking for unusual or malformed ICMP traffic reaching the device.
