Module: COMPEX-IN3000

OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::arpNumRetries

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.11.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The number of ARP request retries before giving up.

Changes to this take place after next reboot.

What is arpNumRetries?

This read-write integer, ranging from 1 to 50, sets how many times the IN3000 will retry an ARP request before giving up, with changes taking effect only after the next reboot. An admin increases this on an unreliable or noisy network segment to give hosts more chances to respond before the device gives up address resolution. If arpOutReqs shows repeated attempts failing to resolve, an admin might raise arpNumRetries and reboot to make resolution more persistent.
