What is arpDeadEntries?

This counter tallies the total number of ARP entries that have expired and been removed from the IN3000's ARP cache. A high or rapidly growing count suggests either arpEntryTimeout is set too short for the network's actual host turnover, or many hosts are genuinely leaving the segment. An admin seeing arpDeadEntries climb unusually fast would check whether arpEntryTimeout needs to be increased to reduce unnecessary re-resolution.
