communityTrap
Module: COMMUNITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): COMMUNITY-MIB::communityTrap
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.1.52.2.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object is checked to determine if traps should be sent to the corresponding network address associated with it. The possible values are: trapOff (0), trapOn (1)
What is communityTrap?
This read-write integer determines whether SNMP traps are sent to the network address associated with a given community entry, with values trapOff or trapOn. An administrator toggles this per community to control which configured destinations actually receive trap notifications from the device. For example, an operator might set communityTrap to trapOn(1) for the entry pointing at their production NMS while leaving a test community's traps disabled.
