communityIPAddr
Module: COMMUNITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): COMMUNITY-MIB::communityIPAddr
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.1.52.2.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IpAddress
Access: read-write
Description: The network address of the device that will receive traps from this agent.
What is communityIPAddr?
This read-write object specifies the destination IP address that will receive SNMP traps associated with a particular community entry. An administrator sets this to the address of their network management station so alarms generated by the device are actually delivered somewhere useful. For example, changing communityIPAddr to point at a new NMS server address ensures traps follow the monitoring team after a management-station migration.
