What is msName?
This read-only string of up to 17 characters holds the name assigned to the monitored system (MS) unit reporting through COMETMS-MIB. It lets an administrator identify which physical monitoring unit a given set of alarm and channel readings belongs to when multiple units are deployed across a site. For example, a technician managing several remote shelters might see msName return "Shelter-3-MS" to confirm they are viewing data from the correct unit.
