What is channelUnit?
This read-only string of up to 17 characters specifies the unit of measurement associated with a COMETMS monitored channel's value. An administrator uses it alongside channelValue to correctly interpret the reading, since the same numeric value means something different depending on whether it is degrees, volts, or another unit. For example, channelUnit might return "Celsius" for a temperature probe or "V" for a voltage sensor on the same unit.
