Module: CODAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CODAN-MIB::wvUpdateTerminalConfiguration

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.23304.1.1.1.3.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Initializes a configuration update process from the manager to either the Active or one of the Saved Configurations on the terminal. The actual updated configuration is specified through the community in the request, as explained below on the wvCommunityTable Description. If the Update is to one of the Saved Configurations then it is saved on non-volatile memory. If the Update is to the Active Configuration then the changed parameters are activated. The value given with the object is not relevant and it's not checked.

What is wvUpdateTerminalConfiguration?

Writing to this object triggers a configuration-save operation, pushing the currently pending changed parameters either into the live Active configuration or into one of the non-volatile Saved Configuration slots, with the target chosen by the SNMP community used in the request. It is the mechanism for persisting configuration changes rather than a status or data field itself. For example, an admin uses wvUpdateTerminalConfiguration to save newly tuned wvChannelNo and wvTxPowerSetting values into a saved configuration slot for later recall.
