Description: This object synchronizes between several cooperating manager stations, to coordinate their use of the set operation. If it is set to 'setDisabled' no SNMP set operations are performed by the agent.
What is wvSetOperationCtrl?
This read-write enumerated object globally enables or disables all SNMP set operations on the terminal, acting as a coordination lock between multiple manager stations sharing access to the device. When set to setDisabled, the agent refuses any further configuration changes via SNMP until it's set back to setEnabled. For example, one manager might set wvSetOperationCtrl to setDisabled while performing a multi-step reconfiguration so that a second NMS polling the same terminal cannot make conflicting changes mid-sequence.
