wvLinkUASAlarmThresholdHigh
Module: CODAN-MIB
OID (symbolic): CODAN-MIB::wvLinkUASAlarmThresholdHigh
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.23304.1.1.1.6.20
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Defines the high water mark above which the terminal enters the link Unavailable Seconds alarm state. If wvLinkxxxUASs in a given wvLinkThresholdMeasurementInterval gets above this value a wvLinkUASAlarm is set, to be canceled if the value gets below wvLinkUASAlarmThresholdLow (see below). The value is expressed as a percentage x 100 of the elapsed time specified by wvLinkThresholdMeasurementInterval.
What is wvLinkUASAlarmThresholdHigh?
This read-write integer, expressed as a percentage times 100 of the measurement interval, sets the high-water-mark share of Unavailable Seconds above which the terminal raises a link UAS alarm, the most severe of the interval-based performance alarms since unavailable seconds mean the link was down. An administrator watches this closely because UAS directly reflects actual service outage time rather than just degraded quality. For example, a UAS alarm firing repeatedly on a given link would justify escalating a field visit rather than just adjusting alarm thresholds.
