cmcIpFiltProto

Module: CMC-MIB

OID (symbolic): CMC-MIB::cmcIpFiltProto

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.44.2.1.4.5.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: Protocol to filter.

What is cmcIpFiltProto?

This INTEGER specifies which IP protocol, such as TCP, UDP, or ICMP, an IP filter entry matches against. An admin sets this to scope a filter rule to a particular protocol rather than all IP traffic. For example, an operator wanting to block only ICMP probes from a subnet would set cmcIpFiltProto to ICMP while leaving other protocols unaffected by that rule.
