Module: CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLIENT-MIB::clntFSLastPartialBackupDate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.50.2.8.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DateAndTime

Access: read-write

Description: The last date at which a portion of this file system was copied to another storage device for backup. This information is useful for ensuring that backups are being performed regularly.

If this information is not known, then this variable shall have the value corresponding to January 1, year 1970, 00:00:00.0, which is encoded as (hex)'07 B2 01 01 00 00 00 00'.

What is clntFSLastPartialBackupDate?

This OID records the date and time a partial, incremental backup of this file system was last performed, also defaulting to the 1970 epoch when no such backup is known. It complements the full-backup date so admins can verify that incremental backup jobs, not just full ones, are keeping pace with data changes. For example, comparing a recent clntFSLastPartialBackupDate against an old clntFSLastFullBackupDate tells an admin that nightly incrementals are running even though the last full backup was months ago.
