What is clvSysPscTcpSyn?

This read-only gauge reports how many TCP connections tracked by the firewall are currently in the SYN (handshake-initiated but not established) state. A high or rapidly rising count here is a classic signature of a SYN flood attack against hosts behind the firewall. For example, an admin seeing clvSysPscTcpSyn spike sharply would investigate for a SYN-flood-style denial-of-service attempt.
