rlRebootDelay

Module: CISCOSB-rndMng

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-rndMng::rlRebootDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-write

Description: Setting the variable will cause the device to reboot rlRebootDelay timeticks from the moment this variable was set. If not set, the variable will return a value of 4294967295. If set to 4294967295, reboot action is cancelled. The maximum delay is set by the host parameter: reboot_delay_max

What is rlRebootDelay?

This read-write TimeTicks value, when set, schedules the device to reboot that many hundredths of a second later; if unset it reads back as 4294967295, and setting it to that same value cancels a pending scheduled reboot, subject to a maximum delay set by the host's reboot_delay_max parameter. An admin uses this to schedule a maintenance reboot for a specific future moment without needing to be present when it triggers, or to cancel one already scheduled. For example, setting rlRebootDelay appropriately schedules a reboot roughly 10 minutes out, giving remote users time to save work before the switch restarts.
