rlGroupMngQueryPeriod
Module: CISCOSB-rndMng
OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-rndMng::rlGroupMngQueryPeriod
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.1.11.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Sets desired interval between queries for UPNP devices on the network. Setting 0 will result in no such query. Note that the actual query interval might be less than the set value if another application running in the device requested a shorter interval. Likewise setting 0 will not necessarily stop periodic queries if another application is still interested in periodic polling.
What is rlGroupMngQueryPeriod?
This read-write INTEGER, in seconds, sets the desired interval between the device's periodic queries for UPnP devices on the network, with zero disabling such queries, though another application's shorter request or continued interest can override a zero setting. An admin tunes this to control how frequently the device rediscovers neighboring UPnP devices, balancing discovery freshness against network chatter. For example, setting rlGroupMngQueryPeriod to 60 makes the device poll for UPnP devices roughly every minute, unless another app demands more frequent polling.
