What is rlIpmFftInDiscards?
This read-only INTEGER counts IPM (multicast) datagrams that were received but discarded rather than forwarded by this fast-forwarding table instance. A rising discard count is a clear signal of a multicast forwarding problem, such as receivers not properly joined to a group or an RPF check failing. For example, a spike in rlIpmFftInDiscards right after adding a new multicast source could indicate its traffic is failing an RPF or group-membership check and being dropped instead of relayed.
