This read-only enumerated INTEGER (forward/discard) reports the action the switch takes for multicast traffic matching this IPM forwarding entry. Admins use it to quickly determine whether a given multicast group/source combination is actively being forwarded to receivers or intentionally being blocked. For example, if a multicast group unexpectedly isn't reaching subscribers, checking this field showing discard would immediately explain the behavior, pointing the admin toward whatever policy caused that entry to be set to block.
