Module: CISCOSB-Tuning

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-Tuning::rsMaxIpv6RoutesAfterReset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.29.8.28.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Future Maximal number of IPv6 routers supported by the IPv6 Unicast Hardware Forwarding Table.

What is rsMaxIpv6RoutesAfterReset?

This is a read-write INTEGER letting an administrator set a new maximum for IPv6 routes offloaded to hardware forwarding in the IPv6 Unicast Hardware Forwarding Table that only takes effect after the device's next reset, since the live table cannot be resized while running. Changing it lets an admin plan capacity ahead of a scheduled reboot rather than being limited to the currently active ceiling. For example, an admin migrating more traffic to IPv6 and noticing higher CPU utilization raises this after-reset value to 4000.
