rsMaxArpEntriesAfterReset

Module: CISCOSB-Tuning

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-Tuning::rsMaxArpEntriesAfterReset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.29.8.3.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Future maximal number of entries in Arp forwarding table.

What is rsMaxArpEntriesAfterReset?

This read-write INTEGER sets the future maximum size of the ARP table that will take effect after the device is reset. An admin anticipating more hosts on the network can raise this ahead of a planned reboot to avoid future ARP table exhaustion. For example, an admin scaling up a branch office's host count would increase this value and apply it at the next scheduled reboot.
