Description: When the flash file which is used by reports becomes full, a certain percentage of the old messages on flash are deleted. This is the current value.
What is rlSyslogFilePercentToDeleteWhenCompacting?
This read-only Unsigned32 reports the percentage of the oldest messages that get purged from the syslog flash file once it fills up and compaction runs. An admin cares because this percentage determines how much historical log data survives each compaction cycle, which affects how far back they can investigate after an incident. For example, a value of 20 means each time the log file compacts, the oldest 20 percent of messages are discarded to make room for new ones.
