Module: CISCOSB-Tuning

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-Tuning::rlMaxNumberOfAccessRulesAfterReset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.29.14.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The Maximum number of rules per Access List for after reset tuning

What is rlMaxNumberOfAccessRulesAfterReset?

This read-write INTEGER lets an administrator raise or lower the per-Access-List rule ceiling for after the device's next reset, since the running rule-table size cannot change on the fly. An admin sets this ahead of a planned reboot when they know an ACL will need to grow beyond its current capacity. For example, before adding a long list of blocked source addresses to a security ACL, the admin raises this after-reset value from 128 to 256.
