Module: CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpBroadcastMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.10.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: SNTP/NTP Broadcast Mode. none - no broadcast SNTP packets are received or sent. Receive - host only receive SNTP packets that were sent to broadcast address (were not directed to the host). This is multicast mode in the RFC. Send - host only send SNTP packets and wait for replies directed to the host. This is anycast mode in the RFC. ReceiveSend - host receive broadcast messages (destination is broadcast address in the received messages) and send SNTP packets to wait for replies directed to the host (destination address of the reply is the host address). This mode combines anycast and multicast modes in the RFC.
What is rlSntpBroadcastMode?
This read-write INTEGER selects how the device participates in SNTP broadcast exchanges: none, receive-only, send-only, or both. It matters to an admin because a device set to send would itself act as a broadcast time source for other hosts on the segment, while receive-only just consumes time from elsewhere. For example, a core switch acting as the LAN's time distribution point might be set to send(3) so downstream devices can pick up its broadcast SNTP announcements.

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.10.1.3 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpBroadcastMode
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.10.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpBroadcastMode.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.10.1.3.1 i <value>
