Module: CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpBroadcastIfAdminState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.10.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: SNTP interface Adminstrative state- Enable/Disable SNTP. In case of reinitializing polling or time synchronization this MIB is modified. The MIB can be enabled even thought it is already enabled.

What is rlSntpBroadcastIfAdminState?

This read-write INTEGER enables or disables SNTP on a specific broadcast-listening interface. An admin managing a device with multiple LAN segments can use this to control, per interface, whether broadcast SNTP packets are accepted, and re-toggling it forces reinitialization. For example, an admin might disable this on a guest-network interface while leaving it enabled on the trusted internal interface so only trusted-segment broadcasts are honored.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpBroadcastIfAdminState

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.10.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpBroadcastIfAdminState.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.10.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rlSntpBroadcastIfAdminState.1
