rlSntpAnycastInetDelay
Module: CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpAnycastInetDelay
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.16.1.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: NTPSignedTimeValue
Access: read-only
Description: The estimated round-trip delay of the server's clock relative to the local clock over the network path between them, in seconds. The host determines the value of this object using the algorithm described in RFC 2030.
What is rlSntpAnycastInetDelay?
This read-only NTPSignedTimeValue, in seconds, is the estimated round-trip delay to the inet-addressed anycast server, computed per RFC 2030. An admin can use it to judge how well anycast routing is placing this device relative to the nearest responding server on the dual-stack path. For example, a low delay value here would suggest the anycast infrastructure is directing the device to a nearby server rather than a distant one.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.16.1.8 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpAnycastInetDelay
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.92.2.2.16.1.8.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-TIMESYNCHRONIZATION-MIB::rlSntpAnycastInetDelay.1
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rlSntpAnycastInetDelay.1
