Module: CISCOSB-SSH-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-SSH-MIB::rlSshServerImportExportSelfKeyFragmentText

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.78.2.8.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: A part of the readable text entry for the key pair input/output.

What is rlSshServerImportExportSelfKeyFragmentText?

This read-write OCTET STRING holds one chunk of a device's own SSH host key pair being imported or exported in fragments, since the full key won't fit a single SNMP field. Admins care because it lets them back up or restore the switch's SSH host identity key via SNMP, for example when replacing hardware but wanting to preserve the same host key so clients don't see a warning. For example, an admin exports the existing host key fragment by fragment from an old switch and imports those same fragments into its replacement so SSH clients don't see a host-key-changed warning after the swap.
