rlPolicyOMPCOffset

Module: CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB::rlPolicyOMPCOffset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.59.2.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the offset within the frame (in bytes) from the layer according to rlPolicyGroupType. The limitation of this field is according to the rlPolicyFlowClassificationOffsetGroupMaximumOffset parameter if this OMPC is used by an entry in the rlPolicyClassifierTable whose rlPolicyClassifierType is a protocol for which predefined offsets in rlPolicyFlowClassificationOffsetsTable are required. rlPolicyRequiredOffsetGroups indicates for which protocols there is such a requirement.

What is rlPolicyOMPCOffset?

This read-write object specifies the byte offset within the frame, relative to the layer indicated by the group type, at which this OMPC's pattern comparison is performed, bounded by the platform's configured maximum offset for FCOG-based OMPC usage. An admin sets this to position the pattern match at the exact byte location of interest within the packet. For example, an admin building an OMPC to detect a specific protocol signature would set this offset to the byte position where that signature field begins.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.59.2.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB::rlPolicyOMPCOffset

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.59.2.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB::rlPolicyOMPCOffset.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.59.2.3.1.3.1 i <value>
