Module: CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB::rlPolicyNumberOfOffsetsPerFlowClassificationOffsetGroup

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.59.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: For platforms which require an FCOG, indicates the maximum number of byte offsets specifiable for each offset group.

What is rlPolicyNumberOfOffsetsPerFlowClassificationOffsetGroup?

This read-only object reports the maximum number of byte offsets that can be specified within each Flow Classification Offset Group, on platforms that require FCOGs rather than allowing arbitrary offsets. An admin uses this to know the ceiling on how many distinct packet byte positions can be examined per classification group when designing complex match criteria. For example, an admin trying to match on five different header fields within one offset group would need to confirm this limit is at least five before the configuration will be accepted.
