This RowStatus column reflects an entry the DNS resolver's agent created in its negative-response cache, and an administrator's writes to it are restricted to active or destroy. An administrator uses the destroy option to manually clear a cached DNS failure so the resolver retries resolution immediately rather than waiting out the negative-cache TTL. For example, after fixing a DNS record that had been returning a name error, an admin can destroy the corresponding cache entry here to force an immediate fresh lookup.
