rlDhcpClEnabledByDefaultRemovedIfindex

Module: CISCOSB-DHCPCL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-DHCPCL-MIB::rlDhcpClEnabledByDefaultRemovedIfindex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.76.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: DHCP Client flag is relevant when host parameter dhcp_client_active_on_start is TRUE. If the MIB has non zero value the meaning is that DHCP client has removed from configuration by the user on the interface and signs to application not to add DHCP client entry. Otherwise (zero value) - the meaning is that DHCP client entry must be added.

What is rlDhcpClEnabledByDefaultRemovedIfindex?

This read-write INTEGER is relevant when the host parameter dhcp_client_active_on_start is TRUE, and a non-zero value signals that the DHCP client has been removed from configuration by the user on that interface, telling the application not to re-add it, while a zero value means the DHCP client entry must be added. An admin relies on this internal flag to prevent an interface from having its DHCP client automatically re-created after the admin deliberately removed it. For example, a non-zero value tied to a WAN interface's ifIndex tells the system not to silently re-enable DHCP on that interface after the admin removed it manually.
