rlDhcpClAutoConfigProtocol

Module: CISCOSB-DHCPCL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-DHCPCL-MIB::rlDhcpClAutoConfigProtocol

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.76.22

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Describes the auto-config process protocol. tftp - only the TFTP protocol is used by auto-configuration. scp - only the SCP protocol is used by auto-configuration. auto-(Default) Auto-configuration uses the TFTP or SCP protocol depending on the configuration file's extension. If this option is selected, the extension parameter may be specified or, if not, the default extension is used.

What is rlDhcpClAutoConfigProtocol?

This read-write INTEGER selects the protocol used for the auto-config process: tftp(1), scp(2), or auto(3), where auto is the default and chooses TFTP or SCP based on the configuration file's extension. An admin sets this to control or constrain which file transfer protocol the device uses when fetching its auto-config file. For example, setting this to scp(2) forces the device to only use SCP for downloading its configuration file, ignoring any TFTP-based option.
