Description: Indicates the software file that will be active after reset (image1 or image2). If an error occurred in the download process, resulting in the corruption of the single software file, The value 'invalidImage' will be returned. This value can not be set by the user.

What is rndActiveSoftwareFileAfterReset?

This OID shows which firmware image (image1 or image2) will run when the network device reboots. You can set this before performing a reset to switch to a different firmware version. A network administrator would check this before rebooting a switch to confirm the correct software version will load, or use it to fall back to a known-good version.
