This read-only parameter reports the maximum age (in hundredths of a second) that Spanning Tree Protocol information learned from the network is retained before being discarded on a Cisco-SB managed switch instance. Administrators use this to understand current RSTP aging behavior and verify that STP topology information is being refreshed appropriately. Lower values speed up topology convergence but increase control traffic.
