Description: If this field is set to true the value in field rlTacacsServerKey is ignored and instead the value in the MIB rlTacacsGlobalDefaultKey is used. Otherwise the value in rlTacacsServerKey is used.
What is rlTacacsServerInetUseGlobalDefaultKey?
This read-write TruthValue toggle, the Inet-addressed counterpart of the classic TACACS+ server key switch, decides whether this server uses the shared rlTacacsGlobalDefaultKey instead of its own rlTacacsServerKey value when set to true. An admin cares because it avoids having to keep an identical secret typed into every individual TACACS+ Inet server entry. For example, an admin adding a new IPv6 TACACS+ server that shares the site-wide secret would enable this flag rather than copy the key by hand.
