czseMergeControlRestrict
Module: CISCO-ZS-EXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-ZS-EXT-MIB::czseMergeControlRestrict
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.427.1.1.5.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object controls the zone merge behavior. If this object is set to 'allow', then the merge takes place according to the merge rules. If this object is set to 'restrict', then if the merging databases are not exactly identical, the Inter-Switch Link (ISL) between the devices is isolated.
What is czseMergeControlRestrict?
This read-write INTEGER controls zone merge behavior between fabric switches: allow(1) lets merges proceed according to standard merge rules, while restrict(2) isolates the Inter-Switch Link if the merging zoning databases aren't exactly identical. Admins use restrict when they want to prevent accidental or unauthorized zoning changes from propagating via a fabric merge. For example, an admin worried about a newly connected switch introducing conflicting zoning data would set this object to restrict so any mismatch isolates the link instead of merging.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.427.1.1.5.1.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ZS-EXT-MIB::czseMergeControlRestrict
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.427.1.1.5.1.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ZS-EXT-MIB::czseMergeControlRestrict.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.427.1.1.5.1.1.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> czseMergeControlRestrict.1
