Description: The number of secondary MAC Addresses starting from and including the wwnmSecondayBaseMacAddress.

What is wwnmSecondaryMacAddressRange?

This read-write object sets how many secondary MAC addresses, counting from and including wwnmSecondaryBaseMacAddress, are reserved for generating additional World Wide Names. An admin sizes this range based on how many extra WWNs the fabric is expected to need beyond the original supervisor-derived allocation. For example, an admin anticipating substantial future growth in VSANs and virtual N-ports would set wwnmSecondaryMacAddressRange large enough to cover the projected demand for new WWNs.
