cwpanIfRplTableMinorThreshNodes

Module: CISCO-WPAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WPAN-MIB::cwpanIfRplTableMinorThreshNodes

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.819.1.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This object specifies the threshold for the RPL table nodes.

When the value of the corresponding instance of cwpanIfRplTableNodes is greater than this threshold, a cwpanRisingIfRplTblMinorThreshNodesNotif notification will be generated.

After a cwpanRisingIfRplTblMinorThreshNodesNotif is generated, another such notification will not be generated if the value of the corresponding instance of cwpanIfRplTableNodes stays above this threshold.

When the value of the corresponding instance of cwpanIfRplTableNodes becomes less than or equal to this threshold after a cwpanRisingIfRplTblMinorThreshNodesNotif notification is generated, a cwpanFallingIfRplTblMinorThreshNodesNotif notification will be generated.

After a cwpanFallingIfRplTblMinorThreshNodesNotif is generated, another such notification will not be generated if the value of the corresponding instance of cwpanIfRplTableNodes does not exceed this threshold.

What is cwpanIfRplTableMinorThreshNodes?

This read-only object reports the minor node-count threshold configured for the WPAN RPL table on this interface, above which a cwpanRisingIfRplTblMinorThreshNodesNotif notification is triggered when cwpanIfRplTableNodes exceeds it. It gives visibility into an earlier-warning threshold than the major one, letting an admin see growth trends before they reach the more serious major threshold. For example, an admin reviewing why a cwpanRisingIfRplTblMinorThreshNodesNotif fired would check cwpanIfRplTableMinorThreshNodes against the current cwpanIfRplTableNodes count to confirm the mesh did indeed cross that early-warning line.
