This read-create, optional SnmpAdminString provides a description for a particular OSU provider, supplementing the shorter friendly name shown to clients. It gives an admin room to add clarifying detail about a signup provider that doesn't fit in the friendly name field. For example, an admin could use this field to note that a particular OSU provider's signup requires a valid email address, information not conveyed by the friendly name alone.
