Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-DOCS-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-DOCS-IF-MIB::cwdIfUpChannelTxTimingOffset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.167.1.1.4.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: A measure of the current round trip time at the SU, or the maximum round trip time seen by the HE. Used for timing of SU upstream transmissions to ensure synchronized arrivals at the HE. Units are in terms of (cwdIfChannelMiniSlotTimeBaseTick/64).

What is cwdIfUpChannelTxTimingOffset?

This read-only value reports a measure of the current round trip time at the subscriber unit, or the maximum round trip time observed by the headend, expressed in units of cwdIfChannelMiniSlotTimeBaseTick divided by 64, used to synchronize upstream transmission timing. Admins use it to gauge propagation delay between the SU and HE, which affects how precisely upstream bursts must be timed to avoid collisions. For example, an unusually large cwdIfUpChannelTxTimingOffset for a given SU could point to an abnormally long RF path or a distant physical location compared to other SUs on the same channel.
