cwdIfSigQIncludesContention

Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-DOCS-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-DOCS-IF-MIB::cwdIfSigQIncludesContention

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.167.1.1.6.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-only

Description: true(1) if this HE includes contention intervals in the counters in this table. Always false(2) for SUs.

What is cwdIfSigQIncludesContention?

This read-only flag indicates whether the counters in this signal-quality table include codewords transmitted during contention intervals, and is always false for subscriber units since the flag only applies at the headend. Admins need to know this before comparing error-rate counters across devices, since including or excluding contention traffic changes what the counters actually represent. For example, an admin comparing cwdIfSigQUnerroreds between two headends should first confirm both have the same cwdIfSigQIncludesContention setting, or the comparison won't be apples-to-apples.
